"I think we've won that cup in spite of Moyes rather than because of Moyes. I think that looking at the competition at the start, it was going to be the best chance of a trophy we were going to have. That being said, I will be eternally grateful to the manager and players for giving us the most amazing football supporting moment in a lot a of our lifetimes. It goes without saying, it's going to take some topping - so will definitely enjoy the moment and the next season, giving it to other teams that we're champions of Europe! The football , even in the final was so poor. Long ball, possession conceding game plans are not what we've been brought up on - I genuinely can't watch it anymore. "It's a surreal situation. I think we've all seen enough to know that we want better from Moyes in lots of areas. Will he change and adapt? I doubt it. But right now, I'm not going to re-hash all the old stuff about what it is that makes me think we need a new manager. Everyone knows the details. I suppose it depends on how you want to look at it. If you go into details then the argument to replace him is over-whelming. But, like alot of people are doing now, you look at the bigger picture and go ""Kept us up. Then 6th. Europa League semi and 7th. Europa League Conference winner"" And so the argument based on that is also over-whelming. He's staying now and Sullivan has said so. So Sullivan is obviously in the bigger picture camp. That's fair enough. No issue with that at all. Despite everything I have criticised Moyes for, I believe he has now earned the start for next season. I congratulate him and wish him all the best for next season. I truly and genuinely hope we have a great season next year. And I'm not one of those people that will be sitting with fingers at keyboard hoping that he cocks it up and I can splurt some sort of post about ""I knew this would happen"". I genuinely hope he is successful in winning a trophy again next season. I fancy the double of FA Cup and Europa League. COYI"

Let's be honest, we didn't play well at all, but we found a way to win - or they just weren't good enough to beat us - and once everything has calmed down, he might just take the view that it could easily have gone the same way as 20 of our league games this season, and given we're about to lose our second best player, it won't be easy to replace him and move forward."
