Daveyg Two days rest between games is considered not enough time for a pro footballers body to fully recover. Especially one who has a history of hamstring issues and is getting up there in age. Pulling him off when you are 3-1 up and have to play Spurs on only 2 days rest was the right and logical thing to do. Hope that helps.

This gives players rest,squad players playing time,young players a feel of the action. All 3 can be utilised to make it better all round. Liverpool have done this to great affect,if Klopp had restricted his substitutions then they would be out of the title race. But Moyes is a coward. As others have said he was scared to make the wrong decision. At Newcastle Antonio didn't appear knackered, Moyes chose the wrong game to take him off.Where was the logic in that and keeping him on against Spurs."
