"When Moyes came back he inherited a team that was in disarray, had no confidence and was plummeting down the table. He has had to basically rebuild a squad. Every window he has had players leave and brought new players in- in some cases there have been a lot moved in and out in a window. He has to get them to blend and establish a team spirit from a standing start. Not easy to do. Yeah there have been windows where we wanted more new faces, Jan just gone for example but nobody on here knows what goes on behind the scenes during a transfer window. You don't know who's available, who wants to come here, what their agents are demanding our positioning with FFP who fits our scheme. It ain't like going to Nike to buy a put of trainers ffs. Not every position can be filled with the right type of player every fucking window. Ings is a classic example, he was brought in as a back up because there was no others available for the price at that time. Nobody has a 100% strike rate, everybody gets it wrong even the great Peo fucked up with Phillips. There is a hell of a lot of variables that goes into building and developing a quality squad and it's made harder when you have teams like , Villa, Forest, Newcastle, Chelsea, Everton all splashing the cash at the same time. So wind your fucking neck in, you massive fist. You honestly think that anyone with half a brain is gonna be impressed with and listen to a plasterer who lives in a council flat spout bollox about knowing better than a proven Premier league manager you daft cսnt! Come back when you have an original thought and something worthwhile to say. You mental midget. Fucking coming on here after every game talking bollox about how you know better because you read something in the Daily Mail or the Sun. Or some twat said something on Talkshite. What a cսnt!"

"i actually think the penny is starting to drop with moyes now, he was more than happy to just front up back when we were scrounging results before xmas, but since the point hose has been turned off he's well aware that: a: all the players want to play on the front foot b: all the supporters want to see them play on the front foot c: the only way we're going to pick up points is by playing on the front foot. so along with his usual charade of pretending the sky is green by talking about how he's always been an ""attacking manager"", he's essentially being carried for a ride at this point. he doesn't dare change the very obvious default way we set up because he knows he'll just fuck it up like at the weekend/villa or burnley first half before the players said fuck this i'm going on the attack. his moysian influence has waned ever since that first half vs burnley. might aswell just be up in the gods with the popcorn munchers."

"Because only a thick cսnt like you and your loverboy Moyes would totally ignore the rest of our Squad to cover for such a likely scenario that our 34 year old's hamstrings finally went pop, an ageing Striker he has struggled to ever replace. With regards to people not listening to me, it's funny then how often I get posters occasionally agreeing with what I've said, whilst many publicly give you an absolute cunting on here. More I think about it, I'm convinced you post from a secure psychiatric unit somewhere in America. You seriously give me One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest vibes, which would make perfect sense of your username.. You just ain't all there, pal."

"Moyes has delivered consistency and a cup. There is no doubting on paper he is one of the best managers we have had in context of our record. It seems that in order to enjoy this ""on paper""ù success we have to put up with some really drab performances and heat appear to be inexplicable team selections and subs that point to his stubbornness. Gifting Burnley a 2-0 lead by sitting back at home is infuriating and insulting to fans. We know from that second half we have a performance in us to destroy lesser teams. If only Moyes would change his ways and approaches to some games even a little I think he would be a great manager."

"Nah, because it would have likely meant we beat Newcastle away at a crucial point in the season that creates a 7 point gap between us and still a real possibility of getting a result against the perennial trophy dodgers anyway (just as Antonio wasnt available at all in the return win at their gaff). We're also used to Antonio's hammys occasionally snapping, so it wouldn't be anything new to us. No doubt Moyes would have resorted to playing Ben Johnson up top instead whilst overlooking 3 available specialist Strikers for the remainder of the season but at least the Newcastle points would have been firmly in the bag. Alas, we're now looking like sliding down to 10th or lower...."

"Here you go, https://www.sportsmedres.org/days-between-games-injuries/ Practical Takeaways The results from this study demonstrate that it takes approximately 48 hours after a match for an athlete to recover from a performance standpoint and up to 72 hours for certain biochemical markers to recover (e.g. CK). These findings are important because they demonstrate that although athletes can regain performance (e.g. CMJ and sprint speed) 48 hours after a match, it does not mean that athletes are fully recovered from a muscle damage standpoint, for example. Therefore, at certain periods within the season, athletes should be allowed to fully recover, or at the very least, strategies should be implemented to speed up recovery in order to avoid accumulative fatigue. In addition, when working with sports where athletes are exposed to higher volumes during matches, such as rugby (i.e. 80 minutes) and football (i.e. 90 minutes), practitioners must be fully aware that the time needed to recover is longer, including how long it takes to fully recover."

Daveyg Two days rest between games is considered not enough time for a pro footballers body to fully recover. Especially one who has a history of hamstring issues and is getting up there in age. Pulling him off when you are 3-1 up and have to play Spurs on only 2 days rest was the right and logical thing to do. Hope that helps.

"Threesixty I just don't get why you make such comments. Many fans have been banging on about using subs. Virtually every game there are times to make a substitution. Sometimes 1,2 3,4 or even 5. This gives players rest, squad players playing time, young players a feel of the action. All 3 can be utilised to make it better all round. Liverpool have done this to great affect,if Klopp had restricted his substitutions then they would be out of the title race. But Moyes is a coward. As others have said he was scared to make the wrong decision. At Newcastle Antonio didn't appear knackered, Moyes chose the wrong game to take him off.Where was the logic in that and keeping him on against Spurs."

"This is the most depressing thread on a site full of depressing threads. The character assassination of Moyes is embarrassing, you should all be ashamed of yourselves. West Ham's 2nd greatest manager in my opinion. When he leaves at the end of the season I hope he gets the fanfare he deserves."

Apparently Kudus turned down Arsenal and Chelsea to join us. Which is quite remarkable considering he was nothing until Moyes made him what he was :-) https://www.90min.com/posts/mohammed-kudus-confirms-rejected-premier-league-west-ham

"We have three players in our team worth north of £85m each. All are creative, attack minded and would start in most teams, including City. So, playing to those strengths we always sit back and defend. Results? 2 wins this year? The worst defensive record outside the also rans? How can anyone continue to defend the man?"

"threesixty 1:54 Wed Apr 3 Bang on mate as indeed are all the recent posts from Zico, Massive, Mike etc. Murphy at last gets it. We dont expect tike-taka against teams or dominating the ball against City, Pool etc but against other sides and at home especially we want to be more expansive and have more than 35% of the ball. But as stated in other threads we have 3 - 5 players that we need upgrades on in the first 11 or replace even as, for example, Paqueta will need to be sold to finance the quality needed and avoid FFP. The squad size and quality is an indightment on Moyes tenure as much as the euro finishes and cup are to his credit What is certain to me is that Moyesball as a way of playing aint taking us any further. Will Sullivan and Kretinsky and voting board trust the Tech Director they appointed to move in a new direction in line with many other top clubs? It will be a risk of course but as they say""¶ ""no risk, no reward""ù"

"Moyes - ""I do actually consider myself as an attacking manager"" Missed this from a day or 2 before the Newcastle game. Pretty laughable stuff. He hates it when his style is questioned. https://www.tntsports.co.uk/football/premier-league/2023-2024/david-moyes-exclusive-west-ham-boss-on-style-critics-i-do-actually-consider-myself-as-an-attacking-m_sto10083556/story.shtml"
