There's no guarantee he'll definitely be back for the Wolves match yet, as they've written him off for tonight yet again. Half a season will have almost past before he starts again. Only at West Ham... 🤣

He'll be as useful as all our other ageing strikers, I reckon.

And if we're honest, we'll happily move on from all of them.
He's got more pedigree than the others and is 'younger' tbf..

Just saying that it's not too fanciful to say that he could come in and be useful.

The German team have likely moved on from him also, so we won't be able to use "he's the German number 9" as a carrot either.

Aye. If a mug Club (that isn't West Ham this time) were prepared to offer something like let's say £15M+ for him, as well as get his wages for the next 4 years off our wage bill, I'd snap their fucking hand off for it. We'd arguably be lucky to get that now his injury has proved to take so long to heal at his age.

Not too much to disagree with there, Massive Attack.

If you look at his whole career, he's had about 3 good seasons in the top flight.

He was never the answer, especially for that price and the contract we've given him.

This is why Sullivan is given dogs abuse. Signs off best part of £30 mill on ageing, injury probe strikers but wont pay £5 or 10 million compensation for the best manager or coach.

Maybe it's because it's taken him more than 3 months to get back on a training pitch, let alone to actually play on a match day again this season at the tender age of 31yo?

On a hefty 4 year contract seeing how his WHU career has got off to a terrible injury hit start (with a dubious medical history anyway), it's probably wiser to cut our losses now if someone was daft enough to pay a good chunk of it back. Especially when his value is only going to drop significantly the wrong side of 30. By the way, he'll actually be 32 just after the January window closes.

Unfortunately the risky deal should never have been signed off to begin with, the fucking divs. Borussia Dortmund totally saw us coming.

Fullkrug was never the answer. The invalid could only manage 15 League goals last season as it was, in the slower paced Bundesliga..

The sensible thing to do with Fullkrug and what I suspect and hope will happen, will be that the club allow him to recover and actually give him a chance to prove himself.

Why on earth anyone would want to get rid of him for a massive loss without even seeing him given a proper run of games in the team is beyond me.

Possibly?

It's an utter waste of a transfer though.  It'll be one of the worst transfers we've ever made.  Possibly THE worst.

Who on earth is going to stump up anything for Fullkrug?

He's here, on that nice juicy contract, for another 3 years until he's 34 years old.
Probably sod all. Like you I doubt they'd be able to shift him anytime soon but suspect they'd at least try and cut their losses sooner than later.

The 1 signing I just knew would be a disaster because of the cost wages/fee, age, contract length, settle into new most demanding League.

Out of 18 matches in the League and the Champions League, he's only started in one game against Bologna.

He's shown publicly he can't stand constantly being left on the Bench and I can see him pushing for a move if a Club came in for him.
I'm sure SloppyShitdick could weave his magic and make the cսnt completely fucking useless in no time.

I wouldn't be spending another penny unless it's on a new fuckin manager.

This is the very epithet of what ails this club. Sullivan's ego gets burned on a negotiation and so we back out of the deal and then panic buy an expensive flop for not much less. Rinse and Repeat. We should have just paid the going rate which is what any successful club ends up doing. Wont change until he goes, regardless of manager.

How can anyone hate Dawson? Bloke was a fucking legend in the short time we had him.
