Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
Gladiator 2. Where to start. I guess if the first had never been made you think this a good movie not an excellent movie like the first was. However as there was a first this looks like a cut and paste job and not a very good one. As mention before the lead is terrible. As much charisma as a wet rag. Remember Crowe was pretty much an unknown at the time he made Gladiator and to compare..well no comparision in the acting.
Now also I'm a big fan of both Pascal and Washington but to say they were miscast is an understatement. I think Denzil thought he was in Training Day 2.
If you like some good old fighting CGIU etc on a big screen you might enjoy bits but for me it doesn't paper over the cracks.
It's bloody bad.

Decent film but completely let down by weak as piss performance by lead actor who was appalling.
Denzil Washington was excellent though.
Denzil is always excellent..Man on fire is his finest IMO ?
Alas..I have zero interest in gladiator 2 because I know it's going to be a massive pile of shite
Gladiator 2? FMOB. Clearly is going to be shit.
Love Denzel, Safe House and Flight are two of his finest IMO.

Not trying to shove it down anyone's throats but a few lads on here have always been really kind and supportive when im posted about it previously. Have a look if its up your Strasse but be prepared to cry as it is a really tear jerker.
Cheers boys.
To balance out all these people who have been so kind, I’ll watch it but on a pirate stream so you don’t get any money.
I'll go one further and say that I have zero interest in watching it and frankly bored with this Jim geezer spamming up this thread with bollocks about his daughter and then having to see all the adulation and jizzing about it, it's like fucking mumsnet. Couldn't give a fuck.

I watched it yesterday, I thought it was a film that didn't need to be made.
As you say, the lead actor was weak, but I thought the story was pretty weak too.

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
Had another look at The American, with George Clooney. Nothing great, but thought it had a good atmosphere about it, with some good shots of some Italian towns.
Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
As I posted before also check out a movie called Revenge by the same director. Matila Lutz is stunning and going to be a massive star imho.

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
I saw it a fortnight ago. It was so forgettable I've just had to Wiki it to remind me of the story. I did remember McAvoy was in it.
In all honesty, it was an OK way to pass a rainy afternoon, but only if you got the 5 quid tickets and didn't buy any food or drink.

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
I watched 'It's What's Inside' the other day. For a debut film it's both shot really well and written well. It's a good mix of sci fi mystery and dark comedy.

The original is brilliant. The remake is equally as good though tbf.

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 and 2022)
Finished first series of Blue Lights - I started to struggle with it a bit and the hour long episodes. I get they are trying to make it feel 'real' grizzly Belfast, and all that, but ultimately the viewer wants to be entertained, it's just a bit too 'serious' and in some a little depressing. Line of Duty is way better.

Yes thought the same. It's a remake, original was filmed in Denmark I think.
