Agreed Man on Fire directed by the late Tony Scott is Denzil's best film. 

Denzil is always excellent..Man on fire is his finest IMO ?
Alas..I have zero interest in gladiator 2  because I know it's going to be a massive pile of shite

Agree with Man on Fire, although like War of the Worlds Dakota Fanning's screaming gets a bit much after a while!  Also enjoyed Deja Vu, Unstoppable, The Equalizer, The Bone Collector, The Siege and Courage Under Fire.  Still think his best two though are The Pelican Brief and Crimson Tide.

Re Gladiator II, not really sure if I want to watch it.  Seen the previews and really surprised with the casting of Paul Mescal, just doesn't seem the have the presence of a Russel Crowe.

Watched Megalopolis last night. That is one very strange movie. It has some really overacted cheap moments. Overly artistic to add to what is a bizarre story.

Oddly entertaining enough to have finished it. But it’s a complete wtf film you wouldn’t expect from Francis Ford Coppola.

Disney arent exactly known for giving money away so its not like my little girl benefits hugely from the viewership on Disney+. More happy with the idea that people will actually watch it rather than how they watch it.

Gladiator 2. Where to start. I guess if the first had never been made you think this a good movie not an excellent movie like the first was. However as there was a first this looks like a cut and paste job and not a very good one. As mention before the lead is terrible. As much charisma as a wet rag. Remember Crowe was pretty much an unknown at the time he made Gladiator and to compare..well no comparision in the acting. 

Now also I'm a big fan of both Pascal and Washington but to say they were miscast is an understatement. I think Denzil thought he was in Training Day 2. 

If you like some good old fighting CGIU etc on a big screen you might enjoy bits but for me it doesn't paper over the cracks.

It's  bloody bad.

Been a long time coming having completed filming just over 2 yrs ago but its finally available and seems to be getting an incredible reaction. Not trying to shove it down anyone's throats but a few lads on here have always been really kind and supportive when im posted about it previously. Have a look if its up your Strasse but be prepared to cry as it is a really tear jerker.

As you say, the lead actor was weak, but I thought the story was pretty weak too.
