WHO vs. KUMB

I had a look on KUMB yesterday and was struck by how much more active it is in on there. Multiple West Ham related threads, decent debate and much more activity.

This site remains moribund despite the good work setting up the new site. Seems the owners held out too long before sorting the server issue and the site has suffered as only a handful of active posters remain, many of whom are abusive keyboard warriors who offer nothing but hatred and pettiness.

I'm seriously tempted to bin off this site and switch to KUMB, and I can't be the first. Something needs to be done.

Something I was advocating 10 years ago.

Some people didn't want to do it because the traffic would drop off and so nothing changed, except the traffic, which dropped off because all but a core of good users farked orff, leaving certain mindless Arsecakes to treat it like their own little fiefdom and basically drag the site down to the playground level at which they wanted to function...

I tend to stick to the TV series and film threads, but even they can resort to the boring and tedious arguments dragged over from other threads.

I'd ban all political threads and if anyone makes something political on another thread, warn and then ban. It would soon sort the site out of the boring cunts. 

But you CAN ban posters with whom you have no interest; no need for a moderator or site admin to get involved.

We can all moan about boring posts & posters - that's a skill even the most autistic 3 year old has.

If you are too scared to mark those you find boring as "foes" (in case you might miss something) then the answer is to flood the site with more interesting threads - nobody except you is preventing that.

Problem with this site is that 80% of the post are from 3 no life mong posters ..Moanwell, Oxbore and Cheval/Arcelon/ and the the other million Milly logins.  Making this site shit. 

That's why I hardly post on here anymore. 

The decent posters likke MPI, One Mac, Brussels Sprout, Stelli, PDC on the Volley, Chav Slav , Matty B (all  I have actually met) have left or don't post on here anymore.

Times gone by there were some funny fuckers on here, some threads had me laughing out loud, even Nurses put downs have slowed up. The bickering now is tedious.
Dont know if it’s ever going to be what it was but as others have said I find it more comfortable on here than KUMB. Most of the old guard seem to have disappeared.
There were some funny user names as well, Kelly Smunt classic WHO and Barry Shitpeas  dread to think how he thought that one up.

I can’t say that I prefer KUMB, but this site has seen a big swing from debate to abuse and I really don’t understand why that is. I guess it’s up to the mods to run the site how they want to, but we can disagree with others and remain a bit civil.
