Ultimately Sullivan is the worst kind of micro manager. He’s probably not at the training ground etc but he makes key decisions that the people he employs should be making. And because it’s an ego thing he tries to cover his tracks as if it’s not him who is the disruptive person in all of this.

the whole point of the DOF is that they set the direction of footballing matters. And they do it with the long term in mind. I don’t understand why you’d put one in and not just let them do the job. This whole committee nonsense of 3 people agreeing. Makes no sense.

Feels like without Sullivans input we would have had Duran as a striker and Amorim as a coach. Why does he make things so hard?

We need 15 points or so. Thats our main goal for the rest of the season. Dont expect them anytime soon and expect Steidten to be sacked before Lopetegui as Sullivan has started to try and hood wink fans that just a recruitment failure and not his appointment of Lop is the reason for zero progress despite a 130 mill spend.

Glad that my worst ever search (completely unsuccessful) for a dodgy stream did not work as it would have been very painful. I expect losses as I have done in nearly sixty years of support but gutless performances were not the norm in the days of under achievement and we accepted it more easily as the players were nearer to our lifestyles but the overpaid modern version really don't care what we think

I saw a little bit of the wolves game and was impressed with how much better they looked with about 3 weeks under a new manager.

No one worth mentioning other than a few cracking saves from Areola.

But Alvarez was certainly not the worst of our midfielders. Paqueta was by a distance.

Once the third went in the heads went down and then 2nd half our attempts to grab a consolation just led to Liverpool playing within themselves but wasily picking us off with their pace and slick one and two touch passing

We would have sat deeper and no overloading AWB with Moyes but result similar.

New owner needed as ever and new coach, a strategy, proper DOF and 4 or 5 quality players

He sets up tge team really well, and I can see what he is striving to achieve.  His post match interviews are on the money and I am convinced we will end the season strongly.  Moreover, our star players are clearly inspired by him and will want to further their careers by learning from him and playing for him.  Thank you Mr Sullivan.

No, I was in favour of Moyes going.

Paqueta looks like he's having some sort of emotional breakdown - he's there but not really there. It's a real shame.

Irvine is a better bet than Paqueta at the mo. Far less risk in possession but he aint a game changer for us. We need pace, physical strength and work rate desperately

The mad thing is there are a number of supposedly “big sides” with top managers also playing shit at the same time. Spurs drew at wolves. Man Utd are shit. Man City still look a bit crap. It’s conceivable we get a result at Man City and we end up in 10th place above spurs and Man Utd.

Under those circumstances you kind of don’t sack him.

We really need a top creative mid. Like a payet or something. Someone that makes things happen. I just can’t think of any who would come..

stubbo-admin wrote: 29 Dec 2024, 18:56 Every time Irving comes on he looks solid on the ball,.good at the one touch passes, and no worse getting around the field than any of our other midfielders.

Not sure why he isn't getting more game time given the other options.

Sullivan sitting with Salthouse is his way of saying “dont blame me, it was Steidten and as you see I’m sitting with Will to fix his mistakes

Moyes out!!

Once again passing, defending absolutely atrocious. Paqueta, Mavropanos proving what a complete and utter waste of oxygen they are. Wan Bissaka all over the place. Season is a write off

On the way back with the oldun.. That was one of the worst performances I've ever seen us play. The manager, all the players were a fucking joke tonight. They deserve all the stick they get for that so called performance.
