how i'd love to see the baroness snared into some glitzy TV show self promotion interview, only to be bombarded with the realities of the LONDON stadium matchday experience. andrew lloyd webber made a glib comment on the one show (which is essentially palliative care in TV form) about how we don't even own it, and she was visibly rattled just by that relative feather tickling.

i know for fact the BBC is filthy with spurs supporters, surely one of them wouldn't pass up the opportunity to stick the knife in and twist away, if supplied with an appropriate blade.

Trundle you’re right but we are making the point ( not very well in my case I guess ) that the appointment of Lopetegui led to recruitment of some players that were probably not top of lists that Steidten and the analysts identified. Rodruiguez, Soler, Kilman ( decent but not worth £40 million of the budget in many people’s opinion) and then Sullivan vetoing extra money for Duran leading to Fullkrug ( who allegedly Lopetegui was ok with to fit his system).  Also Lopetegui made most players including recruits look worse than they actually were anyway so time will tell if they were actually as bad as we thought.

Steidten has been tagged directly to Guilherme and Todibo. Jury still out but dont think they are write offs yet. Maybe they will not work out and then Steidten is guilty of screw ups. Fullkrug as I mentioned, if that was just pushed by Steidten then its a blot on his recruitment but the rumour was that Lopetegui was keen too?

But the point is, Sullivan has positioned this, via media friends, as a summer window failure exclusively down to Steidten who did not have full automony or decision making authority and over half the recruits were picks by others.  A scapegoat.  

And it allows Sullivan to return to his favoured model of him being fully in charge of all recruitment and abandoning a DOF model that all progressive clubs have adopted. Further still, it was a half arsed DOF called a Technical Director. He never wanted any dillution of his control as evidenced by half implementing and abandoning it after one transfer window.  

But as quite a few on here said back in summer, Sullivan will fit Steidten up if things go wrong. He did and he got away with it again as most fans wont see whats happened, believe the media narrative and have already written off / forgotten Steidten and the new fangled DOF idea as a “doesnt work” experiment.

No one has put the blame at Steidten for that, so I'm not sure where you're picking that up from.

What I will never understand is how Sullivan & Brady are not getting pelters from our fans. There was the Burnley game 3 years ago and that's it, not even one fucking chant against either of them, even!; Spurs fans are getting vocal but our fans just leave early to go to Westfield and the M&S food hall or Waitrose.
What has happened to our fan base, can't even be bothered to chant at a game, remember the old days where our fans would be on the pitch and trying to storm the tunnel.
How things have changed, those cunts are getting off very lightly, but I guess that's the plan with them, to sanitise our support and the whole experience at the bowl.

this clown and his no2 are our biggest problem, have been since they arrived at the club. they had the perfect opportunity last summer to hire a modern progressive manager, yet lumbered us with the spanish version of moyes. they then, reluctantly, replace him and give this new manager zero fucking help in the january window. we've needed a young, quick striker for years but all they give the new manager is an injury prone youngster that still belongs to another fucking club. they're yet again setting up another manager to fail.

Trunds there was a lot of media coverage in summer about Sullivan opting for Lopetegui in spite of recommendations by Steidten he preferred Hoeness, Amourim and one other, Noble was not in favour and allegedly the board members were not unanimous.
