Unfortunately learning Cobain had blown his head off on the Friday put a bit of a downer on it. None of us fancied it so gave it a swerve.
Still regret not going, mind.

The only one from that scene I saw live was Pearl Jam, but that was late 90s. Not sure why I bothered as I stopped buying their albums when the drummer Dave was sacked, but they were still very good on the night

I remember the confusion when On Parole came out as there was no advance information, everyone just assumed it was a 'new' Motorhead album. Lots of confusion when it became apparent that there was so much overlap with the 'Motorhead' album.
Didn't we laugh at the lyrics to Vibrator!

I like it mate, but not sure it'll convert anyone not familiar with his work.
Like a fair bit of his solo work, think it's a grower.

It is an excellent track. The album On Parole is a great album. Of course it helps that three of the tracks on it, including this one, are old Hawkwind songs.

SOS Band, Change, Alexander O'Neal, Luther.
As Cabbige would say, 'good times'.
I got to see Alex live back in the early 2000s, he was part of this soul concert at Wembley Arena. Other acts were Kid Creole & The Coconuts, The Real Thing, Shalamar, Rose Royce, Tavares & Chic
