Re: Sullivan out!
Nah, it flopped under Bilic after we had to move in to a shocking unfit for purpose Athletics Stadium, even with Payet still here and were far too impatient for him to get to grips with it. Not to mention he was served up with utter "World Class" shite on the pitch like Nordtveit, Tore, Zaza, Calleri, Fletcher etc and was expected to work wonders with them! Even then he still got us to 11th in the League in it's 1st season there whilst also having to sell Payet midway through that season.
The Boleyn season was fantastic considering the pressure he was under to make it a special one in his debut season. That was as close to what I'd consider being The West Ham Way of approaching games in entertaining fashion and taking on all the big boys home and away. The move couldn't have come at a worse time which then fucked it all up.
Re: Sullivan out!
I think next season we could see a change. The apathy is slowly turning to anger. If it gets too uncomfortable for him, he’ll stay away. That’s the first step to seeing him gone. Credit to Spurs for what they are doing, but Levy has a much thicker skin than Sullivan, and they are a club on a different trajectory to us now, so the heat will be off him for a bit. Sullivan hates negative publicity, so anything that hurts his ego is a start.

They sacked Grant to give us 4 seasons of Allardyce. That worked at a survival level but fans suffered.
Slaven Bilic came in to appease fans protests and it went well his first season. It flopped after we let Payet go cheaply.
Bilic was fired to be replaced by 'safe' Moyes who only just managed to keep us up..
Fans were rightly disgruntled with 6 months of Moyesball so 'winner' Pellegrini came in and was given a big budget. That was wasted and left us struggling financially once again.
The board re-appointed Moyes who was not really a WHU manager but he did win a trophy, kept us in PL and more importantly, worked with a tiny budget. The board saw that as success but needed a better scapegoat for our failures with signings. So in came the appointment of a DOF with a decent budget and a target to continue with European football..
Now, after the failures of Lopetegui (who our new DOF warned against) in came Sullivan's choice of Potter who continued to have a worse effect than Lopetegui.
And to cap it all we are back where the Sullivan & Brady reign started. Skint with bigger than ever losses. The Gold family want to sell and our Czech billionaire seems too busy elsewhere and also happy to sell. Investors must look at WHU and see a massive fan base but a cheap rental stadium unsuited for football. Sub-standard, training grounds and lurching from failure to failure and unable to make that step up into constant European challenges...
Sullivan & Brady need to go and take their failures off into retirement...
Very well summed up, and your final sentence the most important one.
Twenty years ago, fans would revolt. But today's fans couldn't give a shit apparently...

Re: Sullivan out!
While watching the Netflix documentary on Michelle Mone recently, I was struck by the similarities between her career and that of Karen Brady. Both having created reputations as successful young businesswoman based entirely on PR perception rather than anything they had actually achieved. Equally, their ultimate elevations to the peerage (Baroness Mone of Mayfair and Baroness Brady of Knightsbridge) were the result of stroking Piggy Cameron’s ego who, in turn, saw them as ideal token females to populate the benches in the Lords.

Re: Sullivan out!
Whatever happened to their original claim "We are only Custodians of this great Club etc" when they first rocked up effectively suggesting that they would fuck off and pass it on to someone more suitable if they cannot progress us. Well they've long since proven they're not up to the job, so why are they still here after being in charge for 15 long years now? We know why, because they enjoy living off the gravy train the Club has now become. Like fuck they want to give all that up just for the sake of the long suffering fans.
Here's another pearler Sullivan guffed back in 2010
"We have a seven-year plan to get them into the Champions League"

cսnt must be near a black hole, as that 7 years sure is dragging...

Re: Sullivan out!
Just been watching Geo post on Hammers Chat. Those thieving lying board of ours. Potter will get 75% pf sales. Makes no sense. If as the borad are sayimng we pleading poverty then they would need a sum amount they need to take from the sales of players. Say 25m. They say we made a 100m loss last year. That;'s incompetence taking into consideration the Sky money + gate receipts. etc.
GSB are miking us dry.

I am pretty sure most of us already suspect the large part of his content comes from scrolling through WHO and probably KUMB too.
There can't be enough genuine west ham news for all of these lads to make a living. So barrels are scraped and stuff made up.
It's like some black mirror episode where they are locked in a man cave 24 hours a day, forced to create hammers content, until they crack up . .
If black mirror see this, I want a writers credit.
If C&H etc see it, I hear we're back in for Lingard.

Re: Sullivan out!
The Board are still able to make loans to the club as long as they are shown at fair market value in the accounts. It is their decision whether they choose to do so or not
Re: Sullivan out!
The cash flow challenge has always been a problem, usually solved by short term loans which have now been taken off the table.
Just another example of the horrible way the club is run. Every decision just seems to be a short term panic decision.

What we need is the incompetent Sullivan to sell to professionals who can manage a club properly taking the talentless buffoon Brady with him
The club is a shambles behind such powerhouses like Brighton, Bournemouth, Fulham & Palace
Maybe certain parties with (unofficial) influence at senior management level need/want the club to remain in the state it currently is to keep the cash flowing in the "right" direction.

Re: Sullivan out!
That 75% reinvested post is recycled from a story on the ‘ever reliable’ Hammers News a few weeks ago. The rationale, I think, was based on only a portion of any fee received from player sales representing profit, at least from a PSR perspective. For example, if Kudus is sold for £85 m and his book value (initial fee less 2 years of amortisation) is £20 m, then only the difference of £65m can be shown as profit in the accounts. They somehow averaged this out at 75%.Either intentionally or through ignorance a lot of the reporting on finances confuses the PSR position with the club’s cash flow problems. This no doubt suits the owners as PSR is an externally imposed constraint (largely beyond their control in the short term) while cash flow can be quickly eased by injecting additional funds into the club.Never let it be forgotten that whatever financial mess the club may find itself in, it is the direct cumulative consequence of woeful, short-term decisions taken by the Board in the past – and most likely into the future.

Fuck all to do with the fans if the company books don't balance.
I'm almost certain (but not 100% straight on this) that none of us are the company accountants or budget setters.
Some might be budgie smugglers, for sure, but not budget setters.

As we finish 17th or above with the mininum of investment the owners will be happy. Move to the OS/LS and we'll be challenging for the CL in 5 years or so. What a load of bollocks and lies this lot have told us. We should do everything we can to getb them to sell up and go.
