Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

I see the u21’s went to Worthing today
We had taken Brad Dolaghan from them last season & as above we released him
Rejoined them on Friday & scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 win for Worthing
Thats the most West Ham thing since we sold one of our best players to Tottenham

Nice to hear West Ham have rubbished the rumours about Luiz
So getting back to the real transfer window, who’s next to go in the West Ham closing down sale
everyone must go

Luiz is not quick so wont solve that issue so we still have the huge need for an athletic, young, and pacy young lad alongside in central midfield.  Luiz does work very hard for the team and was Villa’s best player for several seasons imo so not against this and think it will happen as looks like a Sully special “gift” for his manager 🥴
Yep, that one has organ grinder stink all over it.

The question is would Potter be willing to be the monkey until he gets his P45?

Most probably 🙄

Logically the opposite should be the case. Sullivan should prefer us buying players for the future who we can make a profit on, while Potter and Macauley need players with PL experience who can hit the ground running and maybe keep them in their jobs beyond Christmas.

Unfortunate or fortunately, we are one of the cheapest tickets *certainly in London) and that's why our attendances count for very little when considering progress.

If we’re talking to Juventus about Douglas Luiz I’m presuming we’re just asking what’s his favourite film and what sort of music he’s into, cos there’s no way Sullivan is gonna stump up the cash for him
Sullivan would haggle in a pound shop

If kudus was worth more, Liverpool, arsenal, man city would have paid it. He's worth 55m. Spurs is his level.

I'll never excuse his piss poor attitude and how he did effectively down tools last season because he wasn't getting it all his way, but he's still a quality player when he puts his mind to it. No way should we have agreed to such a lowly deal for him under such a lengthy contract with us still. Zero surprises it happened with our clown management though.

It was clear he wouldn't be here long term but he's worth half again on what we sold him for. I find it hard to get excited about all these 'Marquee Signings' we make. Most are either expensive flops or misfits or have one good season and then get the hump when they realize they have a career of relegation avoidance instead of European Football under Sullivan's West Ham. I'm not saying we are the only club who signs duds or is used as a stepping stone, but we seem to excel at it. I'm surprised Bowen stuck around. I guess he's in and around the England setup and must be happy-ish to be playing in London where he is settled

Madueke would seem a strange signing for Arsenal
Expensive & unlikely to start ahead of Saka or Martinelli
Arsenal fans going off the deep end
Presumably want this striker & Eze sorted

Speaking of ridiculous fees I see Chelsea are quoting £100m for Nicolas Jackson

To be honest £55m is high for last seasons Kudus & low for the Kudus of the season before

Was reading that we are talking to Juventus about Douglas Luiz who only started 3 games for them
10m Euro loan fee with an obligation to buy at around 25m Euros
Sounds like a Sullivan to kick the cash flow can down the road
Guess we’d get Alisha Lehmann as well who was with us before Luiz turned her from lesbianism

Also unsubstantiated report that we might finally make another bid for Diouf. Sparta are adamant they want £21.5m so of course we offered £17.25m. More dithering & Leeds or Palace may SWOOP

Kudus on last seasons showing  is not worth more than Madueke. Madueke - England player, no elephant stool or 5 match bans.

55 million is nothing in today’s money for an in form Kudus. If Spurs can get him firing they’ve got a bargain there. Obviously didn’t want to be here which I can understand given our lack of ambition, shame he couldn’t at least have been a decent pro like Rice and given it is all on the field.

Building up to someone else stepping in and ‘we tried’
Shameful incompetence from the midget cսnt
The only possible reason for this mess that I can think of is trying to get all our ducks in a row. Say we have a max budget of £60m for 3 positions and we're shopping in the £15-£25m range. We can try to lowball early on knowing that we'll stay on course if accepted, but if we have to pay over £20m for one then that might affect our ability to get the other two players. So we wait until we know exactly how much the others cost and then go back with an improved offer for the first one if it fits the budget.

The problem with doing things this way is how long this shit takes these days and I reckon a lot of that is down to agents delaying things and trying to drum up a better deal for their clients. Of course, if a shithouse like Sullivan gets involved then that will fuck up any deal, but does anyone know if he's actually dealing with transfers directly himself now? I can't really see Macaulay doing it. He's never done any transfer negotiations in his life.

Shall I just add them to the list of fucked off Clubs dealing with us (Sullivan) now.. 📝

On the plus side, it seems Spurs will happily do business with us again though.. 🤪
