I've just got to double check which way my compass should be pointing after seeing it..  

I'm probably as far from what this guy stood for a you can get. There is a clip of him talking about stoning homosexuals to death but it is easily taken out of context. It was part of a conversation with someone who had quoted a passage from the bible (which we don't hear) and his response was to quote the biblical text about stoning to death a man who lay with another man or some such. As ever when it comes to the bible a load of baloney but it wasn't presented as Kirk's opinion.

If that's the statement One Sunny They was thinking of when he came out with that, then he's part of the big problem.  He'd be peddling misinformation, like the mainstream media do.

But I'm hoping for They's sake, that They comes up with an actual statement cementing They's view (I hope that makes sense to all the normal people here).

It doesn't actually really matter what Kirk's belief's were. Anyone on here or anywhere else stating his comments were inflammatory and hence almost saying "he had it coming" are woefully missing the point.

Bottom line is, he always offered his opinion and views in a sensible and rational manner - And he always allowed people with differing views to air them and he would listen and respond accordingly but always rationally. 

That's the problem. The extreme hard Left are incapable of logic, sense and rational when they are unable to argue back. 

Kirk gave millions of people a platform to debate. Whatever their views were. But ultimately, the views are irrelevant. Its the actions that count. And the actions of that shooter and some of the scum bags celebrating show you all you need to know about the state of the Left.

He did not. He took a Christian perspective on homosexuality, and also believed in free will. Whether he believed being homosexual leads to damnation is another subject, but he has never endorsed violence. 

And what is this Christian perspective on homosexuality he took? Please tell us. Did it involve free will to be stoned to death?

Being a Christian, he sees all of mankind as being built in the image of God, and murdering someone, other than in defence would go against Gods will.

I wasn't a follower, he was too religious for me in his thinking that said, he always came across as reasoned & non-violent.
