Max Kilman
This lad is a real problem.
At £40mil, it's getting to the point of worst ever signing territory. The worst crime in football is hiding, centre back is probably the one position you can half get away with it, but not for too long. Shirks taking responsibility, who imo makes him worse than Mavropanos, at least he fronts up, which can lead to mistakes. Kilman doesn't, so it doesn't get highlighted.
We've obviously got a massive overhaul in the summer, but for me, he is the biggest problem in our team and we need to cut our losses if we can. It took a while to spot, because he hides, but you can't fool people for too long. Wolves fans told us, some wouldn't have it, but they were dead right. Absolute fraud of a player.

Irrespective of what people think of Maguire, he’s at least twice the player Kilman is.

Of the hundreds of things you could pick…I’d genuinely like to know if we scouted him at all. Or whether we just relied on Lopetegui’s recommendation?
Because if we did rely only on Lopetegui, who was unemployed for a reason at the time, then it highlights how unprofessional and amateurish our use of scouting, analysts and transfer teams are.
It doesn’t matter if your (untried) new manager says something. A professional club, when asked to spend £40m on transfer fees, and millions and millions on a seven-year contract at 100k a week, SHOULD still robustly analyse what they think they’re getting. If the new manager is right, some evidence will emerge supporting his view and you proceed.
I’m just a fan. But having watched Kilman, I cannot for the life of me conceive of how any manager, coach, analyst or player would think he’s worth £40m and merited the longest contract we’ve ever signed. It’s impossible to fathom.
Extra galling when you think of all the players we've been linked with or submitted half arsed guaranteed to fail Sullivan special bids for over the years that have gone on to be good, great or at least competent at this level and when we do actually splurge, it's on that massive waste of space. Almost every player we sign seems to turn to shit if not immediately, then over time.
AWB looks pretty shocking now to boot. Fernendes looks half the player, Diouf I am sure will be shocking before too long. Bowen and Summerville look the only half good players we've got. It takes a special kind of magic to make everything this awful.

Re: Max Kilman
Absolute dogshit. Embarrassing for the goal, especially. Absolutely bullied.
O'Neill spoke about him before the game and said he's prone to 'resting' (i.e. I assume a kind way of saying 'switching off') during games and putting himself in positions where he needed to make recoveries rather than be on top of things and he worked with him to try and cut it out of his game. Looks like no cսnt has been able to cut it out of his game. 5.5 years left on his contract..... Even Fulham or whoever it was surely aren't going to be interested still after last night. He's an absolute albatross for any manager coming in. No way are we shifting him any way other than taking a huge hit on his contract- but does that fuck us insanely with PSR?
We have NO leader back there. Not one of them is leader material. Not one of them has the positional and organisational sense or discipline to marshall a back line. We desperately need a commanding CB in January, even if it costs a lot of money. Failing that even a competent one like Dawson. We need a mean streak back there. They are a bunch of powder puffs with no nastiness or physicality about them at all. A succession of terrible buys by multiple people:
Kilman- Lop and Sullivan
Mav- Moyes (I presume- could have been Sullivan)
Todibo- Stiedten
Add Aguerd as a terrible, terrible buy and Igor, well, that's just cheapo desperation to get ANY available body into the club. If he's not sniffed the pitch much, you KNOW he must be fucking dogshit because he'd have got some game time by now if he was even remotely competent. What sense is there in loaning another team's fifth choice centre back?

We conceded 74 goals in 38 league games in the season before he arrived so we've actually improved. No point putting the blame on one player. There's a cancer running through our club and we all know its name.

Genuinely, I’d like to know what we “thought” we were buying.
For my money, our worst signing of all time. Truly, calamitously hopeless. And a reflection of everything that has been wrong at the club in recent years.
I said this at the time we were first linked with him. It’s like a final destination film, seeing our slow death piece by piece.
At this point I’m beginning to think Sullivan is deliberately trying to destroy the club. No-one can really be that fucking clueless.

when you think back to the genuine stick (not made up, like chelsea fatso) that dowie got who, he'd admit himself, had limited ability but never hid or gave less than 100%. yet you have this bloke earning a fucking fortune, and gets away with ghosting through the majority of games in possibly our most important position

Pathetic management, couldn't even sign the right Wolves centre back ; The much better Collins played very well for Brentford last night

When he leaves West Ham, in around 2031, it should become a local bank holiday.

Re: Max Kilman
Awful just awful, for the money spent it's absolutely scandalous. Was he any good at Wolves or is it a case of another player turning to shit when joining us? I'd play Soucek at centre back instead, at least Tomas would put his body on the line. Throw in the god awful Todibo as well. Remember hearing from somewhere we had signed a special player in Todibo, is that as in needs?! I am sure we bought the wrong player, the guy we must have been after is playing somewhere else right now and we are left with this sorry excuse for a defender. The two of them are worse than Callum Davenport and Gary Breen.

He'd be the last player on the team sheet for me. And I'd have gone through the U21's and U18's squads before I would then have to call on him.

Re: Max Kilman
Another totally weak performance from this snowflake. The geezer has absolutely nothing about him. Isn’t mentally or physically strong enough to play at this level add to that his general technical ability and pace is also way below what you need and you have a terrible CB. We won’t get 10m for this bloke
Re: Max Kilman
Great admirer of Glazner. We should have got him when we had the chance but doubt our owners even heard of him even though his Frankfurt side knocked us out of the EL semis ...thanks Cresswell. For him to be in for Kilman seems strange and poor judgement. Lets hope it's true.
btw I think Glasner has not signed a new contract. He could be off to a big club and this is not his signing request.

I'll get my mate to drop him off in his dial a ride bus if you Iike.
It would be kind of ironic considering how we were taken for one in paying 40m for him
Wolves should get that transfer fee confiscated under the proceeds of crime act.
