Takashi Miike 1:52 Tue Dec 18 Thanks for the heads up. I am a fan of Kim Coates from way back and including Son of Anarchy but he has done some stinkers along the way.

If you want something rare - a Canadian show that is not rubbish: I just finished the third series of Travelers on Netflix. One of my favourite sci-fi premises of recent years and decently well acted. Thinking of starting Bad Blood next.

"Gph If only. My mother- in-law loves the show but not sure if that is because it is filmed near where she lives. Partially filmed really, the parts where the mountains are right there are in Waterton near where my mom lives. (If any of you travel, pick Waterton over Banff, Jasper or even Kananaskis these days. The tourism is there but not as bad yet and you can still find some nature not dolled up. Unless you go for skiing, I guess.)"

Tin Star's not bad. Makes Canada seem like trench warfare - long periods of boredom punctuated by extreme violence (can't remember whose description of WW1 I'm ripping off here - sorry)

"Another vote for Haunting of Hill House. Just finished the Luke episode. If you fancy something warm and funny then The Kominsky Method is very much worth a watch. Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin on very good form. Written by Chuck Lorre, the chap behind Two and a half Men."

"Better Call Saul season 4. Ending with Jimmys closing line - "" It´s ( Saul ) all Good Man."" Excellent. Did not think the Spin off could last 4 seasons. Bob Odenkirk plays the character to perfection. Nice seeing the build up of the Gus empire and also Mike in it, another great character created by the writers. Was gutted he was written off in breaking bad. My memory is terrible was Mike an ex policeman or soldier, is there a series in Breaking Bad or Call Saul I have missed giving more detail of his past and how he ended up doing what he does in Albuquerque? Mr Mercedes or Billions? Which is the most entertaining or gripping? Trust WHO more so than Rotten tomatoes etc, seen some good films and docs etc from here. For light entertainment, comedy and good characters ,before I found Curb, I found the box-set the first 3 series of Arrested Development amusing. Mr Mercedes or Billions?"

"Completely agree regarding Mr Mercedes, I absolutely loved the first season with how dark and sinister the whole thing was, got 1 and a half episodes into season 2 and he starts mind controlling people from his coma. Should have just ended it after season 1"

"Another vote for 'Billions' I'd never heard of it, until a couple of weeks ago. I watched 7 or 8 episodes on route from Brisbane to LAX, and the same number on the way back. It certainly helped the time pass a bit quicker. Or, at least seem to, before some PEDANT feels the need to comment."
