Post Coffee one sugar »

EVERTON vs WEST HAM UNITED (1500)
All about David Moyes. Away win. With luck. A lorra lorra luck.Image

IPSWICH TOWN vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST (1500)
Two favourites for relegation in August. How things change.  Draw.

MANCHESTER CITY vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (1500)
Fly home, you Seagulls, there's nothing for you here. Home win.

SOUTHAMPTON vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (1500)
A decent chance for the Saints. Also a decent chance for the visitors. Draw.

BOURNEMOUTH vs BRENTFORD (1730)
The Bees aren’t great on the road. Home win.

SUNDAY

ARSENAL vs CHELSEA (1330)
El Arse may have lost the will to live. In a footballing sense, of course. Les Bleux have climbed quietly up le table. Draw.

FULHAM vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1330)
Both these sides are stronger than you might think. Draw.

LEICESTER CITY vs MANCHESTER CITY (1900)
The Foxes are done. Away win.

League Cup Final

LIVERPOOL vs NEWCASTLE UNITED – WEMBERLEY (1630)
Should be a corker. Home win.

I watched the Forest game, Forest had an off day and Everton deserved the spoils. He does appear to be playing more front foot football there than he did with us. Forest could blow top 5 now.

In others news Eddie Howe has been admitted to hospital.

Goodness, Moyes's Everton by the stats seem to have beaten Forest with more possession and attacking football. Had 60% possession, more shots, touches in the box and higher xG.

Looks like City are back beating Palace after being 0-2 down. Villa keeping the pressure on. Leicester are relegated.

They haven't earn't the trophy, they've bought it.

I want them and any of our rivals to suffer miserably.

Truth is that the likes of Newcastle and Villa are now ahead of us which means that unless we can turn our fortunes around, finishing in the European places is going to be much harder.

They turned in a profit this summer in transfer fees.
A one year snaphot isn't really the answer. Only Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd have spent more than them since the takeover... strip out last year they're in the top 3

I’m glad the bar codes won. I loathe the bin dippers and their entitled arrogant supporters.
The bar codes supporters have been loyal through decades of under achievement during years when their club has been run badly including several dips into the 2nd tier.  Sound familiar?

Great player was Pop although bloody unlucky. In two spells I think the year after he left first time we won the Cup in 75 and when he left again second time we won the Cup in 80. Bit like Cottee at Everton, they won something the year before he joined and the year after he left. And he went there to win trophies!😂

Liverpool beaten fair and square, can't see them lot having any issue or complaint they were robbed in this game!

Fair play Newcastle, glad they won as the scouse are winning the PL, if they had won this as well would have been insufferable banging on about doing the double, even though that traditional double involves the FA Cup,

When Newcastle won the FA Cup in 1955, we bought their forward Vic Keeble a couple of years later.

When they won the Fairs Cup in 1968, we bought Pop Robson a few years later.

So, all being well, we will sign Alexander Isak.

We all know it’s going to be Callum Wilson don’t we.
Don’t even fucking joke. He’s a salthouse I believe and even aside from that he absolutely fits Sullivan’s template for a player. Especially now he’s played a bitpart in winning a trophy.

Shows how much I'm not too bothered about modern football as I totally forgot it was on!!  Not a fan of either club but pleased for Eddie Howe as he now replaces Harry Redknapp as a quiz question answer on who was the last English manager to win a domestic trophy!  Alan Shearer will be grinning like a Cheshire cat more than usual tonight!

Newcastle were superb & haven’t seen Liverpool so poor … since the first game v PSG really
Should have been 3-0 really

Massive disadvantage for Liverpool not having Salah on the pitch today
