Definitely our best performance in the league this season - the only match so far I thought we actually deserved to win.

Re: ⚽ Swansea v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-4
I have to say that Swansea were a shadow of the side that used to pass and move, retain possession and look to play balls through teams. They were a shocking mess both defensively and also in closing down or winning the ball back

A 4-1 win is always a good result but I didn't think we were brilliant at all. I certainly don't agree with Slaven that this was our best performance this season. There were so many stray passes into dangerous areas of the pitch where a better team than Swansea would have ripped us apart.

Our goals all came from them making errors or poor defensive mistakes. Rangel turning his back on Carrolls pretty tame shot into the ground was laughable. It would have been easy to block.
This is the difference as we have players willing to put themselves on the line to block and battle. Reid is standing up and really leading at the back. He seems to have woken up the last few matches and is much more vocal too.

I was also a bit concerned how Swansea ended up with quite a few good chances from nothing. Cresswell was exposed a few times.
Their goal was pretty embarassing really with Noble and Cresswell letting him through far too easily. Noble just stood and watched.

On the whole there were some flashes of good things, some things which really need more work but some good individual performances which bodes well. If the players showed no fight like Swansea then we would be in serious trouble.

Some points against Leicester are certainly not beyond us but I think they are a much better side with pace and some creativity. Things are looking up points wise but we still aren't the side we were at times last season.

Llorente looked good coming on as sub...good goal...

Would have been a good summer signing...

He's 6.4÷...but they didn't swing in many centres for him to attack...

Bradley The Clown...way out of his depth...

I don't think I've heard a single pundit have any sort of grasp of what's been going on at the club this season.

Vital we get a minimum of 7 points from our next two games, keep the momentum going

Re: ⚽ Swansea v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-4
Still not yet playing with the fluency we often did last season but it was nevertheless nice to do to Swansea what they did to us in our last ever PL game at the Boleyn ground.

Without doubt they are the weakest team we have played in the PL this season.

Re: ⚽ Swansea v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-4
I thought that was a very good performance. Apart from the period after we went 2-0 up, thru to next 15 mins, there was nothing much wrong. I presume it was bilic idea to slow things down at that stage and keep players in position
Randolph 7 - commanding
Nord 7 - played at last like a rb, so the training ground must have worked
Cresswell 7
Reid 9 excellent again
Oggy 6 - not sure about him
Payet 7 - nice passing, gave big congrats to ayew on his first goal
Noble 8 star man in midfield
Antonio 7 great work rate
Kouyate 8
Carroll 8 excellent performance gave them endless grief
Ayew 6 some nice touches and movement
Fernandez 6 looked quite good when he came on, but by then the swans were dying.

Andre Ayew, Andre Ayew
Andre Ayew came from France
He use to play for Swansea
But he fucking hated Wales
And now he is a cockney!

Re: ⚽ Swansea v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-4
Enjoyed that, busy performance and a good result

Most of all, there is still plenty of scope left within the side to improve, particularly with a signing or two

Oh and the Boxing Day bets came in - couple of doubles backing AC x Ayew to score anytime; Ayew to score x WH win - nice touch.

Re: ⚽ Swansea v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-4
If only Carroll stayed fit.

Has 4 or 5 good games; gets calls for an England call up then gets injured and out for 3 months.

Repeat above 3 times each season.

Re: ⚽ Swansea v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-4
Loved the passion that reid showed and his desire to win the header and put the ball in the back of the net.
Probably the best corner Payet has taken aswell since being here, was just asking to be put in the net. Reid obliged.
