I met Stuart Slater in Marbella in the early eighties he had an apartment in the same complex as my mate. His electric had just been cut off.

Ravel Morrison - proved that he had great talent, and then continued to waste it

Kudus right now. The antidote to watching Repka through my fingers expecting a red card or goal conceding mistake.

I was lucky enough to almost see Bobby Moore's whole career and to see how majestic and immaculate he was in a sometimes very ordinary West Ham was something to behold. Then to be England's captain from little old West Ham was a proud thing for a young boy

For the whole package from being a top striker to cheeky chappy Frank Mac is up there as one of my favourite ever players but getting you off your seat skill wise the three for me are Trevor, Dev and Di Canio.

The obvious legends, but also Michael Hughes, who I thought was the most under rated Hammer I've seen .

All worthy mentions so far, but a couple more that could flick a switch during games for me.....
Dickens in his first season scored a few long range goals so from there he always got my hopes up when getting the ball on the run.
Paul Allen was a shining light in a dull team even when he played an early version of a right wing back.

I forgot to mention the coltish Rio who I loved to watch bring the ball out of defence, occasionally he would lose it but had that extra gear to recover and was very much your archetypal Rolls Royce of a centre half in the making. When he left us he became a better defender but seemed to become more regimented in regards to bringing the ball out of defence.
Liam Brady was technically excellent but i thought he was well past his best when he joined. For some reason whenever I think of him im taken back to a very wet Saturday on an open terrace at the Goldstone ground getting a right hammering and thinking he was not the player he once was. Paolo Futre another great player whose legs had gone when he joined but still put in a couple of memorable performances particularly the one against Southampton.

World class is used too regularly. But from what I gather, most pundits and ex-pro's offer world class to a player that would improve ANY team in the world.
I think Brady in his pomp did that so I would say he was a world class player.
I was also not aware of how successful his Italy career was:
1980–1982 Juventus 76 apps (15 goals) - 2 Serie A titles 1982–1984 Sampdoria 57 (16) 1984–1986 Internazionale 58 (5) 1986–1987 Ascoli 17 (0) Sold to West Ham
Nice article on his Italian career.
