After losing Fornals and Kehrer, Benrahma will go, and Ogbonna, Johnson and Mubama all leave the club today, the Leeds fraud has gone. Downes is back but nobody in aside from the Brazilian kid. Time to get a fucking move on.

This is going to be some rebuild by Lopetegui.
We have to expect there will be some underwhelming signings too, like Fodders.
With 5-6 players on their way out of an already weak squad, we'll need 6-7 players and it will be tough to sign world beaters for each of them.
That's not a bad thing, I just think we need to be ready for a few of these signings not to be that exciting in order to ensure we've got a squad for next season.
One of the reasons I expect we retained Cresswell, otherwise that's another player we need to bring in this summer.
Could be a transition season but I'll take that if I see that there is an improvement in the way we play and we show promise.

These PSR and FFP rules are too easily avoided re the cash/oil rich clubs.
Reading of Newcastle and Villa paying big money for players no one have heard of. A crock of shit these rules.

As Leverkusen have shown this season and Switzerland and Austria have just shown in the Euros you don’t need to have superstars costing tens of millions in your team… you just need to be a team and have a coach that can get the very best out of the players available.

Manuel, it's the same thing every year. Much excitement to start the window with perhaps one signing, then fuck all apart from speculation until the day before the window closes.

I get that it's still reasonably early but considering we need a number of players and Lop apparently wants them in by time pre season starts we need to get a move on having only signed the Brazilian kid who is very unlikely to be a starter.
Are we seriously in for anyone apart from Kilman, and that looks unlikely to happen? if we like Greaves then what are we waiting for? if we want Zaha at 10 mil then what are we waiting for? Whose the new striker?

Kilman is too expensive
I’d rather we looked at a couple of the players from European teams (Perez?) & Greaves from Hull who are £15m to £20m
We got £11m for Kehrer and if we can get Zouma through a medical or to Saudi they not costing much net.

Kilman would improve our central defence but simply not worth £45m which Wolves are using to fend off suitors. And its worked. Trevoh Chalobah seems much better value and has looked decent the few times I’ve seen him appear or at least he looked strong, quicker than Kilman and is younger. At £25m he looks a much better deal although obviously lacks first team experience of Kilman. Steidten and analysts will make the call and there’s also this O’brien at Lyon ? they might think is a better alternative. But we have done the right thing imo and now walked away. Im hoping its one of those serendipity things when desirable discoveries happen almost by accident

Sounds a bit bitter
Sullivan if anything hangs on too long with managers so can’t see him sacking no matter how bad the start
Hopefully with July 1 on Monday things will move on the endless links
Saw talk of a swap with Southampton of Walker-Peters for Downes. I guess with a swap we can do what Chelsea & Villa are doing and put a ludicrous value on them to help FFP. A sale at £40m and £8m in the cost column if they are 5 year deals

A Wolves season ticket I know well is backing Latopegui to be 1st Prem Mgr to he sacked. Reckons it will ge before December.

You’ve posted enough for me to notice your negativity on the manager (head coach) before he has even had one match. Am I wrong, and you’re very pro him?
It hasn’t been all summer. It’s not even July and we only started negotiating a week ago. Don’t be dramatic.
Jury is out on if Kilman is as average as you state, but average is an improvement on what we saw last season.

I don’t see what we did with Kilman was wrong. Lowball bid, another slightly improved and they won’t move. Looks like we have moved onto over targets with Jake O’Brien being approached and Chalobah being offered.

I've barely able to post on this site since day one of him joining, so I don't how you've come to that conclusion.
I was hoping the club would be getting away from chasing the managers target all summer and not getting him though.
And I still think we'd be absolute mugs to drop half of our transfer budget on one average Premier league centre back. Especially as we have other positions that badly need strengthening.

Wouldnt mind Chalobah if he is interested. Can play Centre and right back and supposedly defensive mid as well. Saw a figure of 25m quoted.
