General Election - July 2024
|
This appears to be the rumour on Sky.
An easy win for Starmer and some big names losing their seats.
The Country needs a change but is it going to get one?
The thought of seeing that annoying Beth Rigby for 6 weeks though is a horrifying thought.

Such wisdom once again from the self acclaimed man of mystery and know it all Oxsaw, a legend in his own mind. We are soooo fortunate to have him in our midst.
Has he ever been proved right on anything yet?

Looking at the shit-storm brewing in the UK, it's pretty clear why Sushi engineered the Tory exit from power.
He knew Labour and its supporters would be so blinded by a chance to grab hold of the reins they would not see (look at/accept/analyse) what they were getting into.
Six months time and Starmer won't be able to tell his arse from his elbow...and you'll all be paying the price.

Politicians know the square root of fuck-all about IT; they wouldn't lower themselves to even ask about it - that is, after all why they have staff and departments.

I wasn't that impressed with how the Government reacted to the Global IT Outage today. It did seem a little bit like Starmer was distracted by the Summit he was holding and didn't even feel like he needed to respond. The honeymoon most certainly over.

"By an incredibly wide margin, voters attribute the Conservatives’ loss to incompetence rather than being too right-wing or too left-wing. Three-quarters of Conservative switchers, regardless of whether they defected to Labour, Liberal Democrat or Reform UK, cite incompetence as the key reason"

I'm pretty sure the 4 million votes that went to Reform were due to immigration.

We recently had a presentation from Gavin Barwell on the GE results and expected impact of a labour government.
Really interesting stuff, aside from the obvious seats vs share of vote he shared some really interesting stuff on how labour lost votes in larger muslim population areas, how economic affluence no longer drives voting patterns, how a larger than ever number of seats are now won by very narrow majorities etc etc.
according to his data, most people who chose not to vote Tory this time didnt do so because of immigration - the #1 factor was 'perceived incompetence'. he also said they're pretty much fucked because they lost voters to the left and right which makes it very difficult to decide what to do next.
on the outlook part he said keep an eye out for language used by the new government, they will spend a lot of time telling you how much worse than expected things are........ which means they will need either some amazing economic growth or will have to put up taxes.

Nice to hear from you.
Sadly even if the thread had been raised someone would ask whether they were native and if not how they got into the Country.

The UK has enough kids to see us into the next productive generation. Time to cut the "Family Allowance"/child support completely.

Corbyn was MOANING about the King coming to Parliament in a golden carriage and saying there was 4 million kids in poverty (lets just forget he encourages poor people to spit kids out left, right and centre for the moment).
The carriage is over 250 years old, gets reused every year, doesn't cost a penny to run, good for the environment. Everything the woke demand today.
If the King sold it, it would give a whole £3.50 to every kid in poverty.
Corbyn is such a divvy.

Indeed Stewie. I see that old clown Corbyn called the two child benefit cap "immoral".
No, what is immoral is having multiple kids and expecting the state and taxpayers to pick up the bill for them.
If you're poor, don't have kids.

Great start by Labour. Making the ban on puberty blockers (chemical castration of children) permanent & keeping the two-child benefit cap.
