Patriotism
A flag should be about pride. About unity. About celebrating who we are. That’s not what’s happening right now. These England flags going up everywhere? That’s not patriotism. That’s marking territory. That’s sending a message. And the message is ugly: “This is ours. You don’t belong here.”That isn’t pride. That’s fear. That’s exclusion. That’s racism dressed up as tradition.Real patriotism doesn’t slam the door in someone’s face. Real patriotism says: we are strong enough, proud enough, confident enough to welcome others in. To share our values — values of fairness, decency, tolerance — the values that have always made Britain worth being proud of.When you turn the flag into a weapon, you betray it. You betray our history. You betray the very idea of Britain.Because the truth is this: our flag should say we belong together. Not you stay out.

Instead of putting up the St George's cross I've been placing placards depicting British garden birds.
*Resident British garden birds, none of your migrant birds.

Those far left nitwits singing The Red fFag didn't sing the last verse:
The working class can kiss my arse,
I've got the foreman's job at last

in the US, burning the American flag has become a trendy symbol of free speech that should be protected, according to the protestor class and rent-a-crowd.
The same crowd, however, would happily lynch anyone who dares burn the Rainbow Pride flag and the authorities may consider charging you with a hate crime for doing so.

Re: Patriotism
But Small Heath in Birmingham which, when I was there earlier in the year, had a big van with a Palestinian flag parked marking the entrance to the area and Palestine flags from lamp posts, shop windows etc would be ok for you?
Seen similar in parts of Tower Hamlets. Even Uxbridge road in Shepherd’s Bush has shop fronts painted in Palestinian flags and Palestinian stickers on all the street furniture. Outside my kids schools there are stickers with “fuck Farage” over nearly every lamp post. But it’s the English flags that have prompted you to speak up?

I understand you're still feeling hurt by your recent mauling over Roman rabbits, but the Labour song literally is a celebration of flying a flag. More fishing?
Are you OK, Hun?

Nope. Not even the Chelsea blue flag in relation to a host Football Club, although I do on occasions kindly remind them where they can also stick it instead.

Re: Patriotism
The most laughable part of all this taking down of our Flags is the sheer hypocrisy of Labour when attending Conference every year they proudly sing:
Then raise the scarlet standard high
Beneath its shade we'll live and die
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer
We'll keep the red flag flying here
Quite ironic really. Do as I say, not do as I do eh Labourite Lefties...

What is going on is beyond belief. Not much longer now before it really starts to get ugly. At what point does this Gov’t fall? What will it take, a national strike?
This can’t go on for another 4 years, surely. For once I agree with you; they have been an utter shambles so far.
I think they will cling on to the bitter end though with that massive parliamentary majority.Want them out?
Quickest way is to fuck their cash flow. Move off PAYE and onto annual self-assessment, Get the petrol tanker drivers out on strike again, claim back VAT on anything and everything - overwhelm them with demands on the services they're legally obliged to deliver.
Ha ha you're insane

Almost as sad as local authorities, using tax payers money, to paint zebra crossings, in rainbow colours.
