Don't tell anyone but I'm still a bit pissed off about the way this ended.

A performance right out of "playing the West Ham way" hand book, the Greenwood Lyall years were more about under achievement, disappointment & flattering to decieve, than winning a few cups. Throwing away a 2 goal lead and conceeding in the last 10 minutes is classic vintage West Ham.
If we are to go to a new level, it won't be playing the West Ham way that is for sure.

Developing a slight man-cruch on Sakho. Should end up with 15+ goals hopefully, which will be a good return. Seems to be loving it at the moment.

Support sounded great yesterday and there were some absolute SCENES after the 2nd goal.

I thought we had some very good spells in the game, but my main concern was the last five minutes, we did look a little headless chicken like. Song and Cheikho needed to keep the ball and slow the game down.

But at the end of the day, Spurs gave Chelsea a hiding there a few weeks ago and with our current form, we weren't given much of a chance for the win and we were close.

Beat Palace next week and we will close right up on Spurs.

We played well, deserved the win but poor goalkeeping for the first and a dive for second has cost us.

Alot of positives to take but worrying that when we are playing well during this rough patch we are not picking up wins.

Saturday is huge.......special mention Kouyate and Noble, both outstanding yesterday

Sunderland's embattled boss Gus Poyet could be a shock contender to take over at West Ham if Sam Allardyce is ditched by the Upton Park club.

Utter nonsense.

I want BFS out but when I start hearing people like gus potent mentioned I start worrying about our usual 1 step forward 2 back history

The other way of looking at it is that we need to develop before we get to the OS. It would be very easy to have a slow start at a big and half empty new ground and struggle. We need to be a far stronger squad before we take that hit. I can't see any circumstances in which playing at the OS in the first few years will not have an at least small negative impact on home form.

The difference will be entirely down to some astute investment now and the right tactical brain to form a meaningful team style. Both of which rule Allardyce out.

He is what he is ..... he'll not walk away from this cash cow unless he's absolutely certain he's being released. Even then he might prefer to paint the owners as ungrateful and fickle by releasing him. He will not be earning the money he is anywhere else .... In the world!

Well this could bounce two ways

The general assumption here appears to be that the board decides if he stays or goes - anyone consider that he might just say thanks and goodbye?

If I were he I would, after all, in his mind and to a wider football community he has done exactly that asked, and done so well

It would really not suprise me if WH have no say in it all - his bargaining chips are high and there would be no shortage of takers

But any change of mangers is a risk. No matter what their credentials.

I'm not against the idea for the right name, but I don't have hundreds of millions at stake.

If I did I may stick with the known entity, and given their track record I'd say the two Daves will as well.
