I came on here to say the same thing.
I think as a team and as a club we're going nowhere right now. Last week many on here were saying how unlucky we were. Well, maybe, a bit. But Man utd were there for the taking, just as Everton showed today, and we couldn't take one of our best ever chances to beat them on their own turf.
Our manager keeps banging on about the players behaving like they play for a big team, but most of the time they're playing like a bottom six outfit, which we'll end being if we're not careful, instead of top seven which we could and should have been.

Play Antonio as he centre forward, Kamara said on Sunday supplement this morning that of his 25 premier goals 15 have been headers .

The Lino will leave the flag down in those situations when it’s close, at least that’s what they’re supposed to do.

Would VAR have helped us with the Perez offside?

The lino's flag when up straight away and ref blew before Perez rounded the keeper to finish well

What difference would VAR make in those situations?

Lertie, they're usually called West Ham United.

Don't want to prick the bubble of self righteous hard done by ness but Everton have put last week's glorious failure into perspective this afternoon.
Good teams can play badly and win, what does that say about sides who play well and don't

Perhaps with some sort of shock collar that we can activate.

Surely there's a strong argument for WAR -- WHO Assisted Referees. For our games anyway.

Line decisions like the one yesterday and at Old Trafford will be a matter of fact
Refs will still be able to cheat us on the ‘influencing play’ stuff.
That’s 2 goals we didn’t get and 3 Liverpool ones against us that can be overturned.
Shit penalties like B Silva and Mata will still be awarded under some made up bollocks and denied to us under a different set of criteria.
It’s a start

The only full solution is putting all current referees in a tank full of great white sharks and piranhas

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
VAR decisions won't help the smaller teams much as the match ref will still have the final decision. They won't like conceding they were wrong and will still favour the Liverpools and Man Utds on the borderline calls. Only when it is a glaring error will they change their mind.

This big team bias has effected us badly this year. Liverpool had two offside goals allowed at Anfield and one at our place, also Liverpool had two more offsides not given at ours which nearly lead to goals. Then Man Utd last week.3 really bad decisions effecting the result but also another offside not given which nearly led to a goal, where even the commentator said there were only four players offside. It is not an odd mistake as the bulk of all decisions over the course of the game go to the same few teams.

This has been going on for decades, and no things don't even themselves out. It is a persistent phenomena and it stinks, it is always the same teams getting the benefit..

I thought Gale was interesting about that too. Antonio cannot pass the football, or at least he's so hit and miss that there's no point in expecting him to.

The solution seems blindingly obvious to me. Fuck that Austrian cunt off and play Antonio up front. He's always a threat in the air and it's not like he could score less than that stroppy fucker does at present. I reckon we'd be more of a threat than we are now and harder to beat too. For me Chicha is never anything other than a replacement, he just offers nothing outside the box.

Standards of refereeing in the Prem are so bad it’s gonna end in a government inquiry at this rate.
