When you first get together I can understand this day helping you getting your nuts in but after a couple of decades and being at the business end of your children’s birth and afterwards ensuring she’s stitched up nice and neatly it’s a bit difficult to be ‘romantic’ for just the one day.

There is always one girl in the office who gets some flower arrangement that sends others into a steaming fury because their partner hasn’t done the same.
